Maha Hamed Kanoo

Maha Hamed Kanoo, the Director of The Kanoo Group for UAE and Oman. The Kanoo Group is recognized as one of the largest independent family-owned groups of companies in the Gulf region.

A graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Sweet Briar College in Virginia, USA, Maha boasts years’ worth of professional experience in the corporate management under her belt—demonstrating her utmost prowess when she assumed the role of General Manager for Administration, HR and Marketing for The Kanoo Group.

Prior to that, she also worked for Citibank and Royal Bank of Canada shortly after she graduated. She then joined the family business first in Bahrain and then moved to the UAE. During her tenure as the head of the Human Resources, she was responsible for implementing The Kanoo Group’s Emiratization program.

Now, as the Director of The Kanoo Group for UAE and Oman, Maha is in charge of overseeing the company's business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures.

With her working knowledge of performance and operations management, Maha assists the Group in finding innovative ways to enhance productivity while ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.

Beyond corporate management, Maha is also a skilled artist—having completed several courses in Arts and holding her first exhibition of paintings in Dubai in 1993. She is also a certified diver, and enjoys the Japanese martial arts of Aikido.
