Meeting marks a significant moment as Kanoo Energy CIS deepens the Group's commitment to Uzbekistan and the broader CIS region

The Kanoo Group, one of the Middle East's most storied and diversified family-owned conglomerates, hosted a courtesy visit by H.E. Umid Shadiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UAE, at the Group's headquarters in Dubai. The visit was received by Mr. Mishal Kanoo, Chairman of The Kanoo Group, and took place against the backdrop of a significant milestone — the Group's recent expansion into Uzbekistan through Kanoo Energy CIS, marking its first entry into the CIS region.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss bilateral cooperation, shared business ambitions, and the role The Kanoo Group can play in supporting Uzbekistan's growing industrial and energy infrastructure. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for the road ahead and reaffirmed their commitment to building a partnership rooted in trust, long-term thinking, and mutual growth.

Also in attendance were Mr. Mahmud Mahmudov, Economic Counsellor at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, and Mr. Wassef Ghandour of The Kanoo Group.

Mr. Mahmood Mian, Director of The Kanoo Group Uzbekistan and the lead initiator behind the Group's entry and operations in Uzbekistan, also attended and expressed his support, affirming the Group's commitment to fostering stronger ties between Uzbekistan and the UAE business community.
