Kanoo Energy Wins Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award
The Kanoo Group's energy division is honored at the 22nd cycle of the UAE's most prestigious business award, recognizing its role in strengthening the region's energy security and industrial competitiveness
Mishal Kanoo, Chairman of The Kanoo Group, and Raman Marwaha, General Manager of Kanoo Energy UAE & Oman, accepted the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) on behalf of Kanoo Energy at the award's 22nd cycle ceremony, held by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi on July 2.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, honored seven winners this year for their role in strengthening business competitiveness and driving private sector excellence.
Kanoo Energy was recognized for its contribution to the energy and industrial sectors, delivering integrated engineering solutions and advanced services across energy & industrial sectors, and enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the region's energy systems.
The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award is one of the UAE's most closely watched measures of private sector impact, and this year's cycle drew record interest. Applications rose more than 80 percent over the previous cycle, with entries spanning corporates, family businesses, SMEs, startups, and individual contributors across Abu Dhabi. Winning it is not a symbolic honor. It is a signal, to regulators, investors, and partners alike, that a company's work is measurably strengthening the emirate's economy.
That signal carries weight in the energy sector. As the UAE accelerates its Falcon Economy agenda and positions Abu Dhabi as a global hub for energy transition and industrial innovation, the companies delivering the engineering backbone of that ambition, quietly, at scale, across oil, gas, and electricity, rarely receive public recognition.
