Latest Shutter Valve Technology discussed at The Kanoo Group and Clarke Valve Seminar

Kanoo Energy (Oil & Gas Division), a member of The Kanoo Group, in collaboration with its principal manufacturer, Clarke Valve® conducted a seminar on Shutter Valve Technology to meet the growing needs of customers in the region for advanced industrial applications.

The event was held on 8th January 2019 at the Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi.

The Resource Speakers at the seminar were Mr Kyle Daniels (Founder of Shutter Valve Technology & CEO of Clarke Valves) and Mr Fred Carton (VP Engineering, Clarke Valve) which includes product demo and technical presentation.

Mr Raza Shaikh, Operations Manager-UAE & Oman, Kanoo Energy (Oil & Gas Division) said, "Our team has continuously developed skills and knowledge through advanced training and seminars with our Principals, such as this, to provide excellent sales and aftersales support to our customers. For years, The Kanoo Group has been working with industry-leading brands around the world to offer only the best in terms of product quality."

New product samples were demonstrated during the seminar which featured reduced weight, size and cost control valve; increased efficiency up to 2 times, and reduced emission up to 25 times; and certified to API 641.

Founded in 2011 in Miami, Florida, Clarke Valve® developed the Shutter Valve technology which started as an embryonic idea that has transformed into what is now the be high-performing valve in the world.

The Shutter Valve is the first valve in history that is a combination of precision flow control, zero pressure drop and bubble tight shut off, into one valve.

It is ideally suited to industrial customers that require unobstructed flow, piggability and sealing capability of a ball valve with precise flow control of a control valve and a compact size of a butterfly valve. These features combined provide one of the highest performing valves on the market today for virtually any application.

Sarfras Roshan, Sales Engineer – Mechanical (Oil & Gas Division) further said, "Shutter Valve Technology is a breakthrough technology in the valve industry with the most potential for control valves because of its reduced weight, size and cost. The seminar aims to educate us as well as our clients in the selection, design and operation of the new Shutter Valve technology for wide-ranging applications such as gas lift, vapour recovery unit, refinery, oil/water separation and cooling water to steam.
