  • We follow UAE labour law in letter and spirit. We have fair treatment policy for all people irrespective of their nationality or religion. We provide a safe and healthy work environment which includes air conditioned offices, ergonomic furniture and equipment. People work 45 hours per week.

    The Kanoo Group has started a program to implement Dubai Quality Mark (DQM) standard which includes management systems for Quality, (ISO 9001), Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Environment Management (ISO 14001). We have carried out initial gap analysis and are working towards full compliance to DQM.

    Kanoo Travel is certified to ISO 9001:2008 standard.

  • The Kanoo Group is an active member of EEG. We participate in EEG’s paper recycling program. We also participate in a number of programs of EEG and sponsored their activities from time to time.

    We have carried out Kaizen campaigns in various departments of Kanoo Travel and have saved large amount of paper (equivalent to 40 trees per year) by reducing consumption and reusing paper. We received awards from Dubai Quality Group in their Kaizen competition in 2009 for such efforts.

    We have recently conducted energy audit of our main office building and estimated our Carbon foot print. Action is being taken to reduce energy consumption by reducing and replacing lights and using treatments in Air conditioning equipment to reduce electricity consumption.

    We have HSE and CSR policy documented and signed by the Chairman of the company.

  • The Kanoo Group plans to improve the energy efficiency of its headquarters by 20% by running a chemical additive through the cooling pipes of its air-con system to remove accumulated oil.

  • We have recently documented a Code of Conduct for employees. Each employee existing and new is required to read and sign it. It specifies ethical business practices (e.g. giving and taking of gifts, no conflict of interest, employee grievance handling and whistle blower policies). A copy of the same can be made available on demand.

    All advertisement material is reviewed by authorised management officials before its publication. The Code of Conduct book prohibits employees from misrepresenting any aspect of business and making false or unsubstantiated claims to anyone in the market.

  • The Kanoo Group organises blood donation campaigns regularly every six months. This has been a practice for last five years.

    We are Investor Partners of Dubai Quality Group (DQG), corporate members of EEG (Emirates Environment Group) and SCLG (Supply Chain and Logistics Group). We actively participate in their activities and sponsor their conferences and seminars from time to time.

    The Kanoo Group has actively supported Government initiatives on Quality and Business Excellence. We have been regularly participating in Dubai Quality Award and Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award for last ten years. Kanoo Travel has won DQA in 2001 and SKEA in 2004 and 2008. We also extend support to DQA, SKEA and MRM (Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum) Excellence Program of Dubai Chamber of Commerce by way of seconding managers as assessors. Our managers give their time as volunteers to organisations such as Dubai Quality Group etc.

    We support charity organisation such as Al Noor Center, Red Crescent and donate generously for disaster relief and support to community projects.

    We are partnering with Community Development Authority to provide training and employment opportunities to physically challenged UAE Nationals.

  • 1. We have partnerships with world’s leading organizations in manufacturing and service sectors for example, American Express, Air India, Axa Insurance, Perkins and more than a dozen of manufacturers of machinery and industrial products.


    2. Our partnerships are wells structured with documented contracts and SLAs, which are periodically monitored. The strength of the relationship is evidenced by the length of the sponsorship, some of which are more then 25 years.


    3. We carry out joint development and problem solving activities to provide innovative solutions for the local market.


    4. We actively involve our partners in participating and contributing to business and community related programs.


Sustainability is the capacity to endure. In ecology the word describes how biological systems remain diverse and productive over time. For humans it is the potential for long-term maintenance of well being, which in turn depends on the maintenance of the natural world and natural resources.
