Shababona Arabic for " Our Youth" is The Kanoo Group Emiratization Program which offers excellent opportunities to UAE National staff including supporting those who want to earn advanced academic qualifications, providing local and overseas training and a Career Planning program. The Kanoo Group has been fortunate to attract some of the best local talents in the UAE among its multinational workforce. Today, UAE nationals are competent contributors to the success of The Kanoo Group.

The Kanoo Group commitment to train and recruit UAE Nationals has been recognized by government organization in the form of appreciation letters and certificates from "Tanmia" , "Jawaz Al Amal" work passport program from Abu Dhabi Chamber of commerce and lately the prestigious Dubai Human Development Award 2002. The prestigious Dubai Human Development Award 2002 was presented to three organizations only, National Bank of Dubai, Dubal and The Kanoo Group.

The Kanoo Group believes that continuous education and work-based learning are the core areas to enhance Emiratization, that is why we are working continuously to provide the UAE Nationals with an environment that encourages them to learn and grow. Moreover, we have introduced a new Internship Program that provides young UAE Nationals with hands on experience and training on a specific industry through our diversified business.

UAE Nationals Internship Program

"Shababona" The Kanoo Group Emiratization Program is built around four key areas:

	Career Planning
	Higher Education Support
	Local & Overseas Training
	On-the-Job Training ( Exposure to the corporate world)

UAE Nationals Internship is a new initiative from The Kanoo Group to further strengthen its Emiratization program "Shababona"

This program will focus on the following industries:

	Travel
	Holidays
	Shipping
	Machinery
	Logistics
	Advertising
	Oil & Gas
	Insurance
	Human Resources
	Quality
	Finance
	IT

The key features of this new initiative are as follows:

	A unique training opportunity for UAE national fresh graduates and holders of Higher Diplomas.
	The program duration is 3 months.
	The candidate will be working closely with a manager/s on daily basis in the following areas:

	1	Operations.
	2	Customer Relationship Management.
	3	Back office support.

	During this period the candidate will develop a report on his/her activities with focus on the industry he/she has chosen based on the following:

	1	Manager/ Mentor weekly briefing and debriefing.
	2	Observation throughout the program.
	3	Learning opportunities ( Training, Courses, etc)
	4	Research & available marketing material.

	The Manager/ Mentor briefings will be structured as follows:

	1	Industry History.
	2	Industry economics macro & micro.
	3	Facts & figures.
	4	Current developments.
	5	The industry future.
	6	Career opportunities in the respective industries/field.

	Training on Technical skills to be provided where applicable.
	During this period candidates will be entitled for a monthly reward as per their qualification.
	Performance and reports will be assessed and those who achieve positive results will be awarded or offered a permanent position with a competitive package.
