Kanoo Machinery participates in the 'Clean Up The World' campaign
The Government Business Department of Kanoo Machinery participated in the annual 'Clean Up The World', a community-based, environmental campaign that inspires and empowers communities around the globe to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment. The voluntary initiative was recently held at Al Mamzar Beach, in association with the Dubai Municipality.

The Dubai Municipality's patronage of the annual campaign signifies its strong commitment in creating awareness within the community at protecting the environment, by supporting, encouraging and recognizing all participants, with a clear Vision: "We strive to mobilize the largest voluntary drive in the emirate to make Dubai the most beautiful and cleanest city." This initiative brings together businesses, community groups, schools, governments and individuals in a range of activities and programs that positively improve local environments.

The event was graced by H.E. Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality. Members of The Kanoo Group Management, Mr. Bob Curtis (CEO – UAE & Oman) and Mr. Fahad Kanoo (Executive Director-UAE), also attended the volunteer work to support the green campaign.

Mr. Mohammad Al Hashimi, Mr. Abdul Tausif, and Mr. Khalid Abdul Hussain Ali from the Government Business Department, under the leadership of Mr. Kannan Chandrasekaran (Divisional Manager, Sales – UAE) organized Kanoo Machinery's active participation in the environmental action that promotes safety of the environment and community.

Participants from Kanoo Machinery presented their range of environmentally controlled green machines from leading brand, Tennant. The machines which meet the requirements for environmental protection, were displayed at the Kanoo Machinery stand during the event. H.E. Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah also visited the displays which were later used during the clean-up drive.

'Clean Up The World' was founded in 1993 after Clean Up Australia founders, Ian Kiernan and Kim McKay, approached the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), with the idea of taking the Clean Up Australia concept globally. The resulting partnership now mobilizes an estimated 35 million volunteers from 120 countries annually, making it one of the largest community-based environmental campaigns in the world.
